Fire Station #61, previously called Station #16, was constructed in 1979 and is not amenable to the current operations of the Clark County Fire Department.

This project will demolish the existing Fire Station #61 and will be replaced with a new fire station on the same site. The intent is to provide the surrounding community with a modern 10,311 square feet fire station equipped to provide optimum protection and prevention for the community. The project includes three apparatus bays, a kitchen and dining area, captain’s room, exercise and fitness room, day room entertainment area, storage area, 12 private sleeping quarters, private shower rooms, utility and clean room, an outdoor living space, among other features.

A combination of System 8 and System 12 were used in the construction of Station #61.
