Other Construction – Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

The photos below were taken at a couple of other projects in the neighborhood of the villa and they are self-explanatory.

These are examples of what the current construction “techniques” are in Saudi Arabia. Broken pipes, wood forms for concrete pours, temporary bracing requirements that inhibit the speed of construction, safety issues, and additional costs all are on display here.

How strong can columns really be if you chisel into them for electrical?

Temporary support jacks are required with the traditional flooring system. These jacks must be in place a minimum of 8 days before they can be removed and work can begin again on the interior areas. The “Omni Block Way” has clear spans and allows for work to begin on the lower levels immediately.
